Welcome with "Gran vals" theme

Play a polite tone when switching your phone on

The NokiX's standard welcome_anim.nrx patch allows adding a custom start-up animation on DCT-3 phones missing it. However, the animation is played with no sound. One reason behind this is that the tones played by the DCT-3 buzzer are not so nice that you would like to hear them every time you switch your phone on.

This modified version of welcome_anim.nrx utilizes NuukiaWorld's Gran Vals patch. "Gran vals" patch modifies the tone playing system of the phone so that it can play the most famous five notes of "Gran vals" using the phone speaker (ear piece) instead of the default ring tone buzzer.

The tones played from the phone speaker are much softer than standard ring tones on DCT-3. The downside of the speaker tones is that they cannot be as loud as the buzzer tones; however, there is no need to play any welcome tone with very high volume.

This package contains also a version of the nokia.gif example welcome animation (originally included in the NokiX package) that has been synchronized with the "Gran vals" tone.

CAUTION: Trying to modify the built-in firmware of a mobile phone may make it practically unrepairable. This applies especially to phones that does not have a separate EEPROM chip for settings and calibrations (e.g. most Nokia 3xxx phones). Before trying to update the flash memory, you need to understand the functions of your flashing program and the whole flashing process, including any checksum updates required. NuukiaWorld does not give any support in flashing-related questions.
