Nokia 6110 is missing the
"Tones" menu or any menu that allow changing the sound
settings of the phone (ringing tone, volumes, alert tones, etc.) The
only way to change these settings is to go to the "Profiles" menu,
select the current profile from the list, press "Options", and choose "Personalize".
To access these settings easier, install this patch on your nokixed 6110. This patch exposes the profile personalization menu as a NokiX definition allowing its direct inclusion in your custom menu structure file. This patch also ensures that the settings in the menu are really editable. (A small change in the profile settings handling is needed to allow changing the settings outside the "Profiles" menu handler.)
This patch does not automatically expose the new menu. You must use e.g. the standard NokiX write_menu.nrx to customize your phone menu. When tones_menu.nrx is included in your NokiX project, you can refer to the Tones menu by definition tones_menu, for example:
@item def=tones_menu gfx=0x3F action=0x37
CAUTION: Trying to modify the built-in firmware of a mobile phone may make it practically unrepairable. This applies especially to phones that does not have a separate EEPROM chip for settings and calibrations (e.g. most Nokia 3xxx phones). Before trying to update the flash memory, you need to understand the functions of your flashing program and the whole flashing process, including any checksum updates required. NuukiaWorld does not give any support in flashing-related questions.
